The Schlüter centrifugal screen is used in the processing of mash or slurry, which are filtered and screened. This is the case, for example, in starch production or fruit juice. The amniotic fluid contained in the digested pulp is separated from the pulp.
The fruit pulp is fed through a centrally located product feeder onto a conical, rotating, fine-mesh sieve.
As a result of the centrifugal effect, the product is filtered. The slurry is washed and extracted with a sophisticated system of water jet nozzles.
The amniotic fluid and the fiber bees are discharged through separate outlets.
